Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary
The Gold Coast is renowned in Australia and Asia for its theme parks. The Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the best things to do there. The park is much larger than the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. It is host to many different animal species, some of which are quite surprising such as these blue-tongued lizards (photo). It is recommended to allow four hours to visit the park. The bird show is certainly not to be missed. The bonus: the ticket includes the Green Challenge, a tree climbing course quite spectacular (but not tested by us due to lack of time but certainly not lack of desire).
